The curriculum will provide the students with opportunities to;

 

 

 

 

  • develop self awareness, a positive self image, and the confidence to take advantage of opportunities to develop their own talents and personalities in order to live as independent, self motivated members of society.
  • have access to a stimulating learning environment provided through appropriate learning experiences.
  • question and discuss issues in a positive and constructive manner, showing respect for others
  • develop the skills necessary to work co-operatively with others, to be sensitive to their needs and have the confidence to form personal relationships.

 

  • acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding relevant to adult life and employment in order to equip each child to take their place in society.
  • acquire the attitudes, values and beliefs to be able to work towards a just and caring society, and to be able to respect and tolerate others regardless of gender, age, race, creed or ways of life.
  • develop an understanding of their responsibility towards the environment on a local and global scale.
  • promote their own good health and physical development.
  • create a pleasant, caring and happy school environment and recognise the qualities that are necessary to maintain such an environment
