Friday 12th February

Friday 12th February

Today I would like you to
click here  for Google Classrooms and have a go at the 'Money End of Unit Test'.  I will then have a chance to see how you got on with this unit.  Remember, do use paper to help you work out the questions and apparatus/ 100 squares.

Have a go at some of the maths challenges below!  Also, after half term we will be starting our new maths unit.

Question 1

Question 2

Question 3

You can also go onto MathShed and practice your times-tables and their inverse.

Click here for a link to the website, you log in through Edshed.

For today we are finishing our Somerset Literacy Network plan on poetry.  This unit has been focussing on creating poems about certain animals.  Our animal focus was the hare.

Below is also the activity for you to complete today.  It is all about writing a story about a wild animal and also giving a message in your story!  There is a second part which is writing a poem, you could do this over half term if you like or you could choose to do this instead of the story.

It is also linked in a file below.

Read Write Inc

In Read Write Inc we are continuing looking at our new unit, this is unit 10 focussing on adding the suffix -ian, it is on page 41-44.  But today I would like you to just work on page 42 and complete the dots and dashes activity as well as the word changers activity.  Try not to skip ahead to other activities as it is important to do a little bit every day.  Next week we shall be looking at dictation and four-in-a-row.

I would like you to spend some time every day reading your reading book or any book you are enjoying.  It is great to read to others but it is also good to do some independent reading!  Maybe you could send in some book reviews that we could share on our webpage!

REMEMBER, we now have a great website called GetEpic!  It would be wonderful to see you using that as well!

Today we are continuing our new AMV RE unit 1 -What do Jewish people believe about God and the Covenant and Torah?

Today's lesson is about Jewish Special Places.  Jerusalem is a very holy place for people of the Jewish faith, as is the synagogue.  Your activity today is to look at the key features in a synagogue and label them with explanations.   Click here for a BBC Bitesize video showing the layout of a synagogue and all of the key features.

Below is also the PowerPoint to follow and the worksheet.
