Maths Extension

Today I would like you to go onto MathShed and practice your 8 times table and the inverse (division - so 5x8=40 the inverse is 40 divided by 8 = 5).

Literacy 

Today we are continuing to look at, 'The Truth About Trolls'.

Today's task is to complete the activity on page 13 - Drop-In Game.

In this task you will be looking at relative clauses (parenthesis).  This is where you are adding information into a sentence using commas each side of the information.  Now, I know that this is quite a new concept so do not worry if you are not quite understanding this, we will spend more time on this when you are back in school.

Reading

I would like you to spend some time every day reading your reading book or any book you are enjoying.  It is great to read to others but it is also good to do some independent reading!  Maybe you could send in some book reviews that we could share on our webpage!

Read, Write Inc

In Read Write Inc we are continuing looking at our new unit, this is unit 6 focussing on adding -ation to verbs to turn them into nouns, it is on page 24 - 27.  But today I would like you to just work on page 25 and complete the dots and dashes activity as well as the word changers activity.  Try not to skip ahead to other activities as it is important to do a little bit every day.  Tomorrow we shall be looking at dictation and four-in-a-row.

REMEMBER, you can always go back over previous units and complete and work which you did not quite finish.

Religious Education

Today we are continuing our new AMV RE unit 1 -What do Jewish people believe about God and the Covenant and Torah?

The miracles are as important a part of the story as the rescue. They talk of what God is like - that he is almighty with no limits to his power, and that he loves and helps those who believe in him.
