(Look back at Thursday's task first)
We are continuing to look at, 'The Truth About Trolls'.
Today's task is to read back through the text and then complete the activity on page 8 and 9 - Grammar Games - Looking at using adjectives within our sentences.
Don't skip ahead to any other activities just yet!
Remember to use your yellow exercise book to complete all of the activities.
Read, Write Inc
In Read Write Inc we are continuing looking at our new unit, this is unit 5 focussing on words ending in -ture, it is on page 19 - 22. But today I would like you to just work on page 20 and complete the dots and dashes activity as well as the word changers activity. Try not to skip ahead to other activities as it is important to do a little bit every day. Tomorrow we shall be looking at dictation and four-in-a-row.
REMEMBER, you can always go back over previous units and complete and work which you did not quite finish.
Reading
I would like you to spend some time every day reading your reading book or any book you are enjoying. It is great to read to others but it is also good to do some independent reading!
In your home learning folder, that you collected from school, is a guided reading question sheet which someone at home can use to help you understand your reading and extend your knowledge!
Religious Education
Today we are starting our new AMV RE unit 1 -What do Jewish people believe about God and the Covenant and Torah?
Click here for a link to a video on Espresso giving an introduction to Judaism.
Please also find below a PowerPoint all about the Jewish faith.
Today's lesson is about the origins of the Jewish faith. The basis of the Jewish faith started when Abraham made a promise to God - this is called the Covenant. Below is a shortened video clip of this story explaining what happened.
Today's task -
This is a story about trusting God, even when what is promised seems impossible. It is also about Abraham worshipping him alone at a time when others worshipped many Gods. Because Abraham trusted God, he obeyed him and set out to live in the land that God had promised to him and his descendants. It was the beginning of God's covenant with his chosen people, the Jews. A covenant is a two-way relationship. Abraham obeyed God because he trusted - believed - in him. Because he did that, he was able to live in relationship with God.
Discuss what it means to trust someone. Who do you trust? Why?
In your yellow book I would like you to draw the person/ people who you trust the most and around the picture I would like you to explain why and what it is about the person/ people that help you to trust them.
