This week we are continuing to look at multiplication and division but this time it is in our new maths booklets. We are currently following the White Rose Hub units. All the answers and videos are linked below.
Consolidate 2,4 and 8 times-tables page 2-5
Below are some maths mosaic extension sheets. Try to complete the picture using your times-tables!
Then you could also go onto MathShed and practice your times tables, particularly focussing on the 3, 4 and 8 tables.
Click here for a link to the website, you log in through Edshed.
Your username and password should be in the front of your BHBOAE book. If you cannot remember your username and password, please give me an email on email@example.com and I shall find it for you!
In literacy we are now going to have a timetable. A bit like we do in class!
It will look like this -
Monday - Literacy Unit (at the moment 'The Truth About Trolls')
Tuesday - Literacy Unit
Wednesday - Grammar
Thursday - Reading Comprehension
Friday - Literacy Unit
This week we are going to finish looking at , 'The Truth About Trolls'.
Today you are going to use page 14-15 to help you to plan your own information text about trolls. Use all of the activities you completed from last week to help you with this. I have attached below the text for you to refer back to.
What will your trolls be like? Will you have different types of trolls?
I cannot wait to see what you come up with!
I would like you to spend some time every day reading your reading book or any book you are enjoying. It is great to read to others but it is also good to do some independent reading! Maybe you could send in some book reviews that we could share on our webpage!
REMEMBER, we now have a great website called GetEpic! It would be wonderful to see you using that as well!
Read, Write Inc
In Read Write Inc we are continuing looking at unit 6 focussing on words ending in -ation, it is on page 24 - 27. But today I would like you to just work on page 26 and complete the log and learn, dictation and four-in-a-row activities. Tomorrow we shall go onto choose the right word, team teach and jumping orange word activities.
Do remember to practice for your test on Wednesday.
REMEMBER, you can always go back over previous units and complete and work which you did not quite finish.
Today we are going to look at Stone Age Homes. Please find attached below a PowerPoint on this. They had different homes based on the different time periods within the Stone Age. On the attached worksheet, I would like you to have a go at drawing the 4 different types of home (dwelling) and also labelling them with what they are made of. To finish I would also like you to tell me about the differences in their structure.
I look forward to seeing them!
