Fine motor development | Playdough song | If you're happy and you know it

A fun playdough song to develop fine motor control and coordination - get your kids ready for writing! Easy to follow playdough routine which is 3 minutes long.

Help get fingers strong for writing.

 

Way back in our October Parents Evening, we gave out a sheet with lots of ideas about helping to strengthen finger muscles (squeezing sponges/'sauce' bottles with water in, using pegs and play doh etc), some of you may still have that sheet but if not you will also find some fun ideas below. If you haven't got any play doh (or something similar) at home there are lots of simple recipes online to make some at home (MissThyer and Mrs Nolan are good at this - I am still practising!) Make some with your child - I bet you will find you had forgotten how much fun it can be - yes, OK, maybe a bit messy on times too!
