Spring Term Week 1 Tuesday 4th January

Tuesday 4th January

In maths today we are working on subtracting a 3 digit number from a 3 digit number without exchanging.

Below is the video of today's lesson.  Have a watch and then try the activity linked below.  I have also put in the answers to mark your work when you are finished.

Aut3.8.1 - Subtract a 3-digit number from a 3-digit number - no exchange

Today I would like you to have a go at our weekly reading comprehension.  The text is linked below as is the questions relating to it.  Try to use your best handwriting!

Extension for this activity is to create a fact sheet about our solar system!  Tell me all about the different planets!  Do they have more than one moon?  Why is our moon important for us?

I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

I would like you to spend some time every day reading your reading book or any book you are enjoying.  It is great to read to others but it is also good to do some independent reading!  Maybe you could send in some book reviews that we could share on our webpage!

Today we are looking our unit 11 spellings.  As always they will be updated on the spelling tab on the front of our class webpage.

Today we are looking at how we say, 'How are you?' and how we might reply in French.  However, there was a PowerPoint to look through on this but it cannot upload to our school site, so below I have linked a YouTube video which has a teacher teaching you the exact lesson we are looking at.  Afterwards there is also the resources needed for this lesson.
