Literacy
Thursday
Today I would like you to have a go at our weekly reading comprehension. The text is linked below as is the questions relating to it. Try to use your best handwriting!
Extension - Create your own acrostic poem! This could be for any subject you choose!
Reading
I would like you to spend some time every day reading your reading book or any book you are enjoying. It is great to read to others but it is also good to do some independent reading! Maybe you could send in some book reviews that we could share on our webpage!
Read Write Inc
In Read Write Inc we are continuing looking at our new unit, this is unit 5 focussing on adding -ation to verbs to turn them into nouns, it is on page 24- 27. But today I would like you to just work on page 24 and complete the Spelling Zone activity. Try not to skip ahead to other activities as it is important to do a little bit every day. Tomorrow we shall be looking at dots and dashes and word changers.
REMEMBER, you can always go back over previous units and complete and work which you did not quite finish.
PE
In PE this week we are continuing to look at different types of games. Go onto the 'Get Active' page and have a go at some of the activities. GoNOODLE and Cosmic Kids are some of my favourites!
Topic
Today we are continuing to look at our topic of 'From The Stone Age to The Iron Age'. This time period in Britain is called Prehistoric Britain.
For today's activity we are going to investigate the tools of The Stone Age and what they ate. There is a PowerPoint attached below and a worksheet attached below. Remember you can always write straight into your yellow exercise book so that you do not have to print any sheets out.
