Literacy

Today I would like you to have a go at our weekly reading comprehension.

I would like us to think about our lovely garden birds.  This is a time of year where we are beginning to see more of these wonderful creatures flying about!  Please find the text attached below and a picture of it.  Then Click here for the link to the Google Classrooms and have a go at the questions!  Type in your answers, remember to refer back to the text.  I look forward to seeing what you have written!

Reading

I would like you to spend some time every day reading your reading book or any book you are enjoying.  It is great to read to others but it is also good to do some independent reading!  Maybe you could send in some book reviews that we could share on our webpage!

REMEMBER, we now have a great website called GetEpic!  It would be wonderful to see you using that as well!

Read Write Inc

For your spelling’s today, you are going to do your unit 10 spelling test but this time it will take place through Google Classrooms!  Click here for a link to the page where you can have a go at the test!  Remember to watch the videos of the spelling so that you know which order they are in.  I will then be able to give you some feedback on this!

Then afterwards have a look at our new spellings.

This week we are now on unit 11 adding the prefix -re.

They are -

rearrange

reappear

redecorate

recycle

rebuild

refresh

reconnect

rewrite

Why not have a go at writing them out as a poster and then hanging the poster somewhere in your house, so that you can keep practicing them!

Mindfulness and Art

Today we are going to be celebrating a very special birthday!  There is a wonderful lady in The Manor Nursing Home turning 104 on the 8th of March.  Her name is Dulcie.  So with this in mind, The Manor Home were hoping to get up to 104 birthday cards for her.  Therefore, our mindfulness challenge this week is to create a birthday card for Dulcie.  It is so important to be kind to others and this would be a great way to show our kindness.

If you are making a card for Dulcie, they need to be brought into the school office by Friday the 5th March so that they can be taken to Dulcie in time for her birthday!

I cannot wait to see what you create for her!

PE

In PE this week have a go at this Cosmic Kids Yoga session!
