This week we are continuing to look at multiplication and division. We are currently following the White Rose Hub unit. All the activities and PowerPoints are linked below and include the teaching video!
The 3 times table which is on page 50-53 of your workbook.
From next week I won't be putting up the worksheets as you have your workbook at home. However, I will always put the answer sheet on the page, under the video!
This week we are going to be looking at a Talk for Writing project. At school we often learn in literacy through this method. Please find attached below the text which we will be working from, it also has all of the worksheets needed. If you do not have a printer, that is no problem because you could create your own worksheets from what you see below and put them into your yellow, 'Lockdown Home Learning' books which came home yesterday. You can always stick sheets in them. It would be lovely to see these books when we can all be back in the classroom.
Today we will be reading from page 1 - 5 only. On these pages there is an introduction to, 'The Truth About Trolls'. It is a fun text where we get to learn all about the misconceptions of trolls!
Once you have read through this, on page 7 is the activity you will be doing today. You will need to create a glossary for all the tricky words within the text. All the words you will look at have been written out.
On page 6 is an example of a glossary.
Don't complete the other activities just yet as we will be looking at them throughout the week.
Read Write Inc
In Read Write Inc we are continuing looking at our new unit, this is unit 5 focussing on words ending in -ture, it is on page 19 - 22. But today I would like you to just work on page 19 and complete the Spelling Zone activity. Try not to skip ahead to other activities as it is important to do a little bit every day. Tomorrow we shall be looking at dots and dashes.
REMEMBER, you can always go back over previous units and complete and work which you did not quite finish.
I would like you to spend some time every day reading your reading book or any book you are enjoying. It is great to read to others but it is also good to do some independent reading!
In your home learning folder, that you collected from school, is a guided reading question sheet which someone at home can use to help you understand your reading and extend your knowledge.
In our new topic we are going to be learning about, 'From the Stone Age to The Iron Age'. This week I would like you to research all about the Stone Age. Click some of the links below to videos from Espresso and BBC Bitesize. Create a mind-map of all of the information you find! How you log onto Espresso is on our main class page(password is turkey).

Mindfulness and Art
This is an incredible piece of art created by Mrs Millington! Art is a great way to relax and bring calm when we may feel a little bit anxious. It helps us be more mindful!
In your packs, which got sent home yesterday, Mrs Millington made a template of this Robin and a step by step guide of how to colour and shade it. You have also been provided with all of the colours that you will need. We cannot wait to see these wonderful robins that you have created.
Mrs Millington is particularly looking forward to seeing how you have shaded them!
