Maths Extension

Continue with your booklets from last week (see attached below).

You can also go onto MathShed and practice your times-tables and their inverse.

Click here for a link to the website, you log in through Edshed.

Literacy

Today we are continuing to write our own version of, 'Stone Age Boy'.  Make sure to use your plan to help you and if you want you could even turn it into a book!  Remember how in school we use our purple pen to edit?  Well why not try to edit your story by correcting punctuation and spellings.

If you would like to send your stories to me, then I would love to read them.  You can send them to learningathome.034@educ.somerset.gov.uk   Please put Fine Class or Miss Harman in the subject box, then I can make sure I definitely see it.

Also attached below are the files from yesterday and the story text.

Read, Write Inc

In Read Write Inc we are continuing looking at our new unit, this is unit 8 focussing on words with the sound sh spelt ch, it is on page 32-35.  But today I would like you to just work on page 35 and complete - choose the right word, team teach and jumping orange word activities.

The jumping words this week are -

experience

Remember the jumping orange words are the national curriculum statutory words for year 3 and 4.  Try to practice them and also use them within your writing!

Tomorrow we will do our test!

Reading

I would like you to spend some time every day reading your reading book or any book you are enjoying.  It is great to read to others but it is also good to do some independent reading!  Maybe you could send in some book reviews that we could share on our webpage!

REMEMBER, we now have a great website called GetEpic!  It would be wonderful to see you using that as well!

Topic

Last week we started to look at the Bronze Age.  We will continue today by looking at some artefacts from this time period.  I would like you to have a go at drawing some artefacts and then around them labelling what they are, what they may be used for, who might of had them and what they were made of.

Below is a PowerPoint of the artefacts including pictures of them and explanations.
