We are currently following the White Rose Hub units.
Today I would like you to click here for Google Classrooms and have a go at the 'Multiplication and Division End of Unit Test'. I will then have a chance to see how you got on with this unit. Remember, do use paper to help you work out the questions and apparatus/ 100 squares.
Today's new maths unit is Money and Statistics. So we will be looking at lesson 1 Counting Money - pence (linked below) and this will be on the first page of your new unit book.
On a Wednesday we will be working for our Collins English Workbooks.
In your folders some of you have a book with a white sticker on the front. Sticker and non-sticker groups will have a different page number and may spend some time on different areas.
Today I would like the white sticker group to work on page 84-85 looking at does this make sense? Remember to read it carefully to help you understand what the text is saying. You also get to be the teacher today!
Today I would like the no sticker group to work on page 72-73 on sentence structure. This is really important. Always check that your sentences make sense!
The second part of today's activity is to practice your handwriting. You started a workbook a few weeks ago, you can finish this or if you have finished, you can use your new spelling words for handwriting practice. Practice these straight into your yellow exercise book. Remember, we use the Nelson Handwriting style.

For your spelling’s today, you are going to do your unit 8 spelling test but this time it will take place through Google Classrooms! Click here for a link to the page where you can have a go at the test! Remember to watch the videos of the spelling so that you know which order they are in. I will then be able to give you some feedback on this!
Then afterwards have a look at our new spellings.
Do skip Special Focus 3 on page 36 as we will be revisiting this when we have finished the whole book.
This week we are now on unit 9 and our spellings are looking at adding the suffix -ion.
They are -
Why not have a go at writing them out as a poster and then hanging the poster somewhere in your house, so that you can keep practicing them!
I would like you to spend some time every day reading your reading book or any book you are enjoying. It is great to read to others but it is also good to do some independent reading! Maybe you could send in some book reviews that we could share on our webpage!
REMEMBER, we now have a great website called GetEpic! It would be wonderful to see you using that as well!
Today we are going to be continuing to look at the Bronze Age Time Period. Below is a reading comprehension activity all about the Bronze Age. Have a go at reading the text and then answering the questions.
As an extension, you could have a go at creating your own Bronze Age artefact and send it in to our email so that I can show all of the class the wonderful things that are being created at home!
