Our Partners

The School is actively involved in a number of high quality partnerships that help us play our part both within the education world and within the local community.

BEP Teaching School

The Blackdown Education Partnership Teaching School, working in close partnership with Southwest Institute for Teaching (SWIFT), is committed to leading school improvement.

We are a vibrant partnership of schools across the Blackdown Multi Academy Trust, working in collaboration with schools across the South West, dedicated to improving outcomes for children.

We focus on the needs of our members and work collaboratively to ensure that these needs are met, ensuring excellence for all. We strive to ensure every child is taught by an exceptional teacher, in a school that nurtures, challenges and supports their potential, and work closely with SWIFT to provide a range of high-quality Professional Development Opportunities at all career stages, including;

· Initial Teacher Training (QTS and PGCE) for Primary and Secondary phase,

· Early Career Teacher Programme (ECTP) training and Appropriate Body,

· National Professional Qualifications (NPQs),

· A comprehensive suite of additional training events to match school needs

SWIFT – South West Institute for Teaching

SWIFT delivers an extensive range of programmes, from Teacher Training, the Early Career Framework, and our Appropriate Body support for Early Career Teachers, through to Specialist and Leadership NPQs and a wide range of high quality CPD covering all aspects of professional development.

St Peter and St Paul Church Bishop's Hull

Our primary school enjoys a strong and meaningful partnership with the local church, St Peter and St Paul’s. We visit the church for special occasions such as our annual Harvest celebration, and pupils regularly take part in Open the Book assemblies, where they learn about Bible stories in an engaging and interactive way. The church also supports our learning through contributions to our World Views and Religious Education curriculum, helping pupils to develop a deeper understanding of faith and values. We are proud that the Reverend serves as one of our school governors, strengthening the link between our school and the church community.

SASP

Our school works closely with Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership (SASP) to promote active, healthy lifestyles for all pupils. Through this partnership, we have access to a wide range of sporting opportunities, events, and resources that encourage participation and enjoyment in physical activity. SASP supports us in delivering high-quality PE lessons and extracurricular activities, helping pupils to develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of sport. This collaboration plays an important role in fostering teamwork, resilience, and wellbeing across our school community.
